Dato Chan chor Ngiak has been Managing Director of HPI Resources Bhd since May 1999. HPI Resources Berhad, an investment holding company, engages in the manufacture, sale, and trading of packaging materials in Malaysia and Cambodia. It primarily offers corrugated boards, carton boxes, recycled paper and board products, laminated food wrappers, plastic bags, and plastic film and paper packaging products. The company also provides lorry transportation, vehicle repair, and other related services, as well as operates as a carton converter.
As of August 10, 2011, HPI Resources Bhd operates as a subsidiary of Oji Paper Asia Sdn. Bhd. Dato Chan has been a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of PCCS Group Bhd (Alternate Name: Perusahaan Chan Choo Sing Sdn Bhd) since June 21, 1995. Throughout his career in the industry, he has continually established connections with many business executives in the Chamber of Commerce and Associations. He is the Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Batu Pahat, the Chairman of the Chinese Association in Parit Raja, Batu Pahat until now, the Vice-Chairman of the Chinese Association in Johor State and a Committee Member of the Malaysian Corrugated Carton Manufacturers’ Association.
